Apple has just made the first public test versions of its upcoming operating systems available for download. Starting today, anyone can try out the new software for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.

The company is giving users a sneak peek at what’s coming later this year. The updates are known as iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, and watchOS 27.

One of the biggest changes is the smarter version of Siri. This updated assistant uses Apple’s own artificial intelligence technology. It is included in the public beta, but it will only work in English at first. Users in Europe will not get access to this feature right away.

Apple says the new system software will make devices run much faster. The company claims apps will open more quickly, pictures will show up sooner in your gallery, and file sharing through AirDrop will take less time. Early testers have said their devices felt snappier after installing the beta.

Last year, Apple introduced a new visual style called Liquid Glass. Some users found it hard to read in certain places. The new version fixes that problem and gives you a slider to control how strong the effect looks.

Since these are early test versions, problems are expected. You might see bugs, shorter battery life, or other glitches. Apple is asking testers to send feedback so it can fix issues before the final release. If you prefer a more stable experience, it is a good idea to wait for a later beta version.

To get the beta, you first need to sign up for Apple’s testing program. Once you are registered, go to your device settings, find the software update section, and choose the beta option for your device.
