Oppo is prepping to release its next smartphone, the Oppo U3.
Only a couple of specs of the Oppo U3 have been identified so far; but we’ll learn more about the other features come January 14th, the official launch day for this handset. Based on available information, we know that the U3 is a 5.9-inch smartphone/tablet hybrid with a 1080p display, MediaTek processor, LTE connectivity and 2GB of RAM.
The Oppo U3 doesn’t come with the signature rotating camera found in the Oppo N series, but it does have a 13-megapixel shooter at the back. It’s also rumored to have a 4x optical zoom, which will be “world’s first” for a smartphone (incidentally, the recently announced ZenFone Zoom has 3x optical zoom). Not much is known about the front camera, but it seems to be sporting its own LED flash.
