Asus has announced a new smartphone with all the common features, but with a twist. The Asus ZenFone Zoom is all about its rear camera with its eye-opening 3x optical zoom.
While this year’s company flagship also has considerable improvements in the camera department, the best features are saved for the Asus ZenFone Zoom. With up to 13 megapixels in resolution, the Zoom’s rear camera has f/2.7- to 4.8-aperture, 10-element lens design and Real Tone dual flash. There’s also the laser auto-focus, optical image stabilization, low light sensitivity and zero shutter lag to enjoy. Asus also claims the ZenFone Zoom to be the world’s thinnest smartphone with 3x optical zoom. Its thickest point measures 11.95mm, which isn’t that bad considering it comes packing with a rather large camera.
You can see the other specs below. Asus has left out one very important spec in the announcement though: we’ve nary a clue about which processor powers the whole thing. The graphics chip and RAM are not known either.
