After some teasing, Asus has finally and completely taken the wraps off the next generation of its ZenFone lineup. The Asus ZenFone 2 is the company’s latest flagship, equipped with a 64-bit Intel processor, 5.5-inch 1080p display and Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Yes, it’s the same Intel Z3560 processor found in the Lenovo P90. But depending on the market, the Asus ZenFone 2 may have the slightly faster Z3580 processor. Together with PowerVR graphics and 4GB RAM, Asus claims its new phone is up to seven times faster than the original ZenFone series when playing games.
The Asus ZenFone main camera utilizes the PixelMaster technology, which allows capturing of high-res images even in low light sans the use of flash. But when lighting is really needed, the 13-megapixel camera has Real Tone flash, which basically consists of two LED lights for better skin tones and color accuracy.

Other key features of the ZenFone 2 include its fast-charging technology (60% battery level in just 39 minutes), a new physical design with ergonomic curvature and an updated ZenUI interface with several customization options.
Price starts at $199 for the basic model (2GB RAM/16GB storage). Expect the ZenFone 2 to be slightly more expensive here in the Philippines. But for a dual-SIM phone with high-end specs, the price is quite a bargain already.
