Samsung has subtly released a new 4G-only smartphone in select European markets. Meet the Samsung Galaxy A18.
The Samsung Galaxy A18 4G is powered by a new and unfamiliar Exynos 1610 processor, with 4GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage.
Samsung is insisting on using 5,000mAh batteries on its budget phones, which already lags behind most of its competition. Samsung says it can retain at least 80% of its battery health after 1,200 charge cycles. The device itself charges at 25W.
A big 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen is on the front, which has a 90Hz refresh rate for extra smoothness.
The camera department consists of the 50-megapixel main shooter, 5-megapixel ultra-wide, 2-megapixel macro, and 13-megapixel for selfies.
It may not have the best hardware, but Samsung offers the most compelling software support. It will already receive Android 17-based One UI 9, on top of 6 years of OS updates it will receive in the future.
The Samsung Galaxy A18 4G is available in Norway with a starting price of NOK3,290 (~Php22,000). There’s no confirmation yet if it’s coming to the Philippines.
