Acer has introduced the Acer Googlebook 14, the industry’s first convertible Googlebook and the company’s first device in a new flagship Googlebook category. The laptop runs on the new Googlebook OS and works closely with Android phones.
The 14-inch 3K OLED touchscreen has a 16:10 aspect ratio and 500 nits of brightness. It supports USI 2.0 stylus input and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. DTS-tuned audio and dual upward-facing Acer Ultra Boost Stereo speakers round out the display setup.
Under the hood, the Googlebook 14 can be configured with up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor 355, with built-in AI engines and an NPU capable of up to 50 TOPS. It supports up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD storage. The fast-charging battery delivers up to 16 hours of battery life.
The laptop measures just 13.9mm thin and weighs 1.14 kg. Its 360-degree hinge supports clamshell, tent, stand, and tablet modes. Connectivity options include Intel Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, one Thunderbolt 4 Type-C port, and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports. It also features a 5MP webcam, triple microphones, a privacy shutter, a fingerprint reader, and a Google Titan-C Security Chip.
Gemini-powered features include Continue On, which lets users pick up tasks started on an Android phone, and Cast My Apps, which brings Android phone apps to the laptop without requiring installation.
The Googlebook 14 carries EPEAT Climate+, EPEAT, and Energy Star 9.0 certifications. It uses 49% circular materials and comes with 99% plastic-free packaging. It also includes 12 months of Google AI Pro.
The Acer Googlebook 14 will be available starting in October 2026. In North America, it starts at $899 (~Php56,000). Acer has not yet announced pricing or availability for the Philippines.
