Nubia-Play-5G-Specs

We all know Nubia because of its powerful gaming smartphones, specifically its Red Magic line. This time, however, the brand is expanding in a new category with the release of the newest Nubia Play 5G.

Unlike the Red Magic, and in contrary to its name, the Nubia Play 5G is not a gaming smartphone. But don’t worry it still has competitive specs for a midrange device.

To start, it features a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with an impressive 144Hz refresh rate. It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner and comes with a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Unfortunately, Nubia ditched the more commonly used notch or punch-hole display to a rather obsolete clear cut bezel at the top to house the front camera.

Under the hood, the Nubia Play 5G comes powered by a Snapdragon 765 SoC, a 6 or 8GB of RAM, and 128 or 256GB UFS 2.1 storage. Moreover, it has a 5G support and runs the latest Android 10 with NubiaUI 8.0.

In terms of photography, the smartphone is highly capable with its quad-camera setup. There’s a 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and two 2-megapixel cameras for macro and depth of field. Meanwhile, it has a 12-megapixel front camera. Another great feature of the Nuba Play 5G is its large 5,100 mAh battery which supports a fast 30W wired charging.
