The HUAWEI Watch D2 has Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) — a relevant feature, especially in the Philippines where 37% of the population suffers from hypertension. It gives a 24-hour assessment of the user’s blood pressure levels that will help them better understand their cardiovascular health.
HUAWEI made this possible thanks to its innovative Strap-Airbag Unibody that’s incredibly smaller than your traditional BP monitor. It utilizes an ultra-narrow mechanical airbag that’s only 26.5mm and inflates quickly. Plus, it’s comfortable to the skin so you can wear the watch all day.
The watch also offers beat-by-beat ECG analysis, comprehensive sleep monitoring, SpO2 and heart rate monitoring, stress levels, and skin temperature.
HUAWEI has developed a feature called Health Glance, which provides an easy-to-read report of all the garnered data by the watch. That includes data such as heart rate, ECG, etc., and lets you know if there are abnormalities that you should be worried about.
You can then use the HUAWEI Health app and share health data and readings with family members.
Moving on, the Watch D2 has other features you’d expect from a modern smartwatch. It has more than 80 exercise modes and lets you make/answer Bluetooth calls and take screenshots of the watch’s screen.
As for the rest of the hardware, HUAWEI claims that the watch can last for up to 6 days under typical use, only 1 day with ABPM enabled, uses a 1.82-inch AMOLED screen with 347ppi, aluminum alloy body, rotating crown, wireless charging, IP68 dust and water resistant, Bluetooth 5.2, and works with both Android and iOS devices.
