DITO Telecommunity, in partnership with 5G deployment global leader Huawei Technologies, is offering a new product — the DITO Home WOWFi Prepaid — advertised as the country’s first “True 5G” system.
The device will utilize 5G RedCap Wi-Fi (originally called NR-light), the latest global connectivity standard designed for home use. This will result in high-speed Internet with lower latencies, suitable for smart home applications relying on the Internet of Things (IoT).
The product is announced to deliver up to 100 megabits per second (Mbps) download speed (average speed of 55 Mbps and minimum speed of 10 Mbps) at 80% reliability.
As shown in their YouTube video below, DITO Home WOWFi allows users to connect up to 40 digital devices, watch up to 20 videos simultaneously, and complete their downloads quickly.
The third Philippine telco added that subscribers will need to make a one-time purchase of the Php1,990 starter kit, which comes with:

- DITO Home SIM
- Unlimited 5G Data for 30 days
- Bonus 50 GB 4G Data for 30 days.
