In time with the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show of 2017, LG has announced its latest Bluetooth headset offering dubbed TONE Studio and TONE Free.

Touted as bringing digital surround sound closer to users, the LG TONE Studio wears more as a neckband due to how it is worn—thanks to its horseshoe design—instead of the traditional headset.

Sporting four external drivers—two at the top and another two from below—the TONE Studio imitates digital surround sound effect by harmonizing on these four outlets, which both LG and DTS worked hard to achieve.

Those who would prefer a noiseless music entertainment can easily switch to using the device’s earbuds for a more intimate experience.

Pretty much similar to the TONE Studio with its horseshoe design, the LG TONE Free, on the other hand, lacks the external speakers that gave the former its surround sound capability. Conspicuously, the TONE Free is meant only for personal use like a traditional headset.

Apart from playing music, both of these Bluetooth devices are capable of receiving notifications when paired with the user’s smartphone which vibrates upon receiving a message.

In conjunction, LG is also set to disclose two of its other products, but this time in partnership with JBL: the TONE Infinim and TONE Ultra.
