Xiaomi’s sub-brand just introduced a new budget smartwatch in the Philippines, the Redmi Watch 2 Lite.
The Redmi Watch 2 Lite features a 1.55-inch touch display and comes in a bunch of colors, but only Black, Ivory, and Blue will be available locally. To further customize your style, you can choose from over 100 watch faces.
To track your exercises, the Watch 2 Lite has over 100 workout modes that include outdoor running, outdoor cycling, hiking, and even swimming thanks to its 5 ATM water resistance. Outdoor activities are being tracked with the help of GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and BDS — a rare inclusion on an entry-level smartwatch.
Also rare for the price is addition the of blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) monitoring. That’s next to the 24-hour heart-rate monitor, which also helps track your sleep quality.
The watch also has stress monitoring, female health monitoring, and breathing exercises to help you relax.
You can control the watch and see all the health and other data it gathers using the Xiaomi Wear/Wear Lite app, which is compatible with Apple Health and popular workout social media app Strava.
Xiaomi promises up to 10 days of battery life under normal use. Meanwhile, it can do continuous GPS sports mode for only 14 hours.
Other smartwatch features are also here. There’s the message and call notifications, music controls, find my phone, timer and alarm, do not disturb, idle alerts, and weather.

The Redmi Watch 2 Lite has a special introductory price of Php2,299 until December 13. That’s Php600 cheaper than the SRP. It’s now available at Xiaomi’s store in Shopee.
