vivo has released a new budget smartwatch, the vivo Watch GT, which is its first wearable with a rectangular screen.
The new vivo Watch GT comes with a 1.85-inch AMOLED screen covered with 2.5D glass that’s curved on all four sides. Everything is encased in an aluminum alloy body.

One of its best features is eSIM compatibility, allowing users to stay connected, even if they leave their smartphones at home. Great for those who like to work outdoors.
Using the watch with eSIM shortens the battery life to 9 days under power-saving mode and 3 days under normal use. Without the eSIM, the 505mAh battery can last up to 10 days under normal use and 21 days with power-saving on.

For the software, the Watch GT runs on a special UI called BlueOS that has AI features like voice dictations that will automatically be written on the notes app. It can also read the latest updates on your commutes, public transport tickets, reminders, etc., and display them on the screen.
vivo also included QR and NFC cashless payments, a bunch of watch faces to choose from, and of course, standard features like notifications, music control, timer/stopwatch, and health tracking.

The vivo Watch GT has a price of CNY799 (~Php6,600) for the Black variant and CNY899 (~Php7,400) for the White. It will be available in China starting June 14. No word yet if it’s also coming to other markets.
