The Xreal Beam Pro isn’t a smartphone, but it runs on Android and is designed to be the ideal partner for Xreal’s Air AR glasses. This new model is a significant upgrade from the original Beam.

For those unfamiliar, Xreal produces glasses that look like regular eyewear but have built-in displays. These glasses don’t have their own processing power; instead, they connect to a smartphone via USB-C or a computer for functionality. Alternatively, you can use the Beam, which supplies power and manages wireless video casting.

The Xreal Beam Pro offers much more. It operates on “nebulaOS,” a version of Android 14 optimized for augmented reality tasks. The device features a 6.5-inch 90Hz LCD screen (1,080 x 2,400 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio) for traditional app control. Additionally, it functions as a controller with motion sensors, turning it into an air mouse.

One standout feature is the pair of 50MP cameras on the back, utilizing ISOCELL JN1 sensors. These cameras are spaced 50mm apart to mirror the distance between human eyes, enabling 3D photo and video capture. Synchronizing the sensors to the pixel level ensures top-notch video quality, and the electronic image stabilization has been specifically tuned for stereoscopic use.

The Beam Pro is powered by an unspecified 4nm Snapdragon chipset and a 4,300mAh battery. The base model includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, expandable up to 1TB. There is also an option with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Both versions support Wi-Fi 6 (ax) and Bluetooth 5.2.

The device features two USB-C ports. One connects to the AR glasses—compatible with Air, Air 2, Air 2 Pro, or Air 2 Ultra models. The second USB-C port can be used for charging the Beam Pro at speeds up to 27W.

The Xreal Beam Pro is now available in China. The base model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at CNY 1,300 (~Php10,500), while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant costs CNY 1,600 (~Php13,000). A 5G model is expected to launch in August for CNY 2,000 (~Php16,200), and an enterprise version will be available for CNY 3,000 (~Php24,300).
