In a virtual event, ASUS has officially unveiled its newest gaming smartphones — the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro.
To showcase the power of its new smartphone, ASUS ended the program with a PUBG Mobile showmatch, where 14 influencers competed using the ROG Phone 6.
The ASUS ROG Phone 6 series come with 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED HDR10+ screens with 165Hz refresh rate, 720Hz touch-sampling rate, and 23ms touch latency. For the Pro, there’s ROG Vision support, which is a small screen located on the back.
Both handsets are powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, up to 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 512GB of storage. It’s also packed with the GameCool 6 cooling technology system with 30% larger vapor chamber and 85% larger graphite sheets, to enable 360° CPU cooling for optimum performance.
The triple-camera system on the ROG Phone 6 series includes a 50-megapixel main Sony IMX766 camera, 13-mrgapixel ultrawide secondary camera, and a macro camera. In addition, there’s a 12-megapixel Sony IMX 663 front camera for selfies and video calls.
For sound, ASUS teamed up with Dirac to configure its dual speakers and tune up the GameFX audio system. And in order to support extended gaming sessions, the ROG Phone 6 series is equipped with a large 6,000mAh battery and 65W fast charging.
ASUS says the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro will be launching in the Philippines soon. However, pricing and availability are yet to be revealed.
