ASUS Philippines launches the ROG Phone 9 FE, a cheaper alternative to their flagship gaming phones.
Launched alongside the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered ROG Phone 9 Pro and Phone 9 Pro Edition, the ASUS ROG Phone 9 FE has a toned-down but still very powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. It is joined by 12GB of RAM and 256GB of non-expandable storage.
It boasts an ultra-smooth 185Hz refresh rate on the large 6.78-inch FHD+ LTPO AMOLED screen with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Stereo speakers provide the audio.
Keeping the lights on is a 5,500mAh battery, with support for 65W wired and 15W wireless charging like the Pros model.
It also has mini-LED lights on the back that show customized animations, gaming triggers, and the latest WiFi 7 standard.
ASUS also included a flexible set of cameras, albeit the ultra-wide and macro lens only have 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors, respectively. No telephoto, but we do have a sharp 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor and 32-megapixel for selfies.
The ASUS ROG Phone 9 FE has an SRP of Php44,995. As an early-bird offering, you can get it for only Php39,995 with a free ROG Chill case and ROG Antibacterial Glass Screen protector all worth Php3,990. It is now available in stores nationwide and through Home Credit at a 12-month 0% installment plan.
