CloudFone Ice 402e is a 4-inch Android 4.4 Kitkat smartphone for only Php1,699

CloudFone recently announced three new 4.4 Kitkat smartphones. Today, we’re going to cover one of them – CloudFone Ice 402e.

Although we liked the idea of bringing Android Kitkat to the masses, it’s quite bothersome to think that the Ice 356g (3G), Ice 353e, and Ice 402e all share the same 1GHz processor. In addition to that, it only has 256MB of RAM as well. The 512MB of internal storage is okay for new users, but it will eventually get filled up really quick because of Kitkat’s microSD card restrictions. We know that a lot of cost-cutting were done to achieve this price point, but we just want to point it out to those who are planning to buy any of the 3.

CloudFone Ice 402e Specs

  • Android 4.4 Kitkat
  • 4-inch WVGA display, 480×800 pixel resolution
  • 1GHz processor
  • 256MB RAM
  • 512MB internal storage
  • 2-megapixel rear camera
  • VGA front camera
  • EDGE only
  • WiFi, Bluetooth
  • Dual-SIM, Dual-Standby
  • FM Radio

As you can see, the main difference here is the slightly bigger 4-inch display and the there is no 3G connectivity – just like the 353e.

CloudFone Ice 402e will be available in black and purple matte versions. It will sell for only Php1,699 on all CloudFone kiosks and dealers nationwide.
