As if the local market wasn’t already flooded with enough 8 inch iPad Mini-esque tablets, it appears that another one is about to join the mix. Kimstore, a popular online gray market seller, has just announced the availability of the Evo Litepad 8. While it doesn’t look much different from other iPad Mini-inspired 8 inch tablets that you can get, the Evo Litepad 8 stands out by retailing for much less than its specs would suggest. And to be frank, the specs are more than respectable for the price.

The Evo Litepad 8 features a 7.85 inch XGA IPS screen, 1.2GHz quad core Allwinner processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It also sports a 2mp rear-facing shooter, VGA front camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a 4,000mAh battery. Finally, it runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

Right now, the Evo Litepad 8 is only available through Kimstore, but the price certainly isn’t bad at Php5,999. The Allwinner might not be all that familiar, but it should perform quite well together with its PowerVR SGX 544MP2 GPU. So are you getting one?
