Google Play has never been so attractive-looking since its launch last year. While we find the design absolutely better than the now defunct Android Market, the ability to move around it wasn’t really pleasing. Fortunately, a fresh look if the Play Store is now rolling out to android phones and tablets.

The new Play Store looks cleaner and despite the bigger images and texts, the interface still looks sleek. The icons are now clearer and it’s such a beautiful revolution if you’ll ask me. Similar themed content will be grouped together and more content will continue to appear as you move down deeper. Google also pointed out that they have simplified the process of purchasing apps so the users will get to enjoy their new bought content immediately.

Play Store version 4.0

The update will be pushed to android devices running on Android 2.2 Froyo and above. Today is its official launch so it should come out by now and it’s scheduled to reach everyone in the coming weeks. We haven’t received the Play Store update yet but we’re really excited to have it to give you guys a short feature of its interface and new features if there are any.

How about you? Did you receive the Google Play update already? What do you think about the redesign?
