HONOR has released the sub-flagship HONOR 400 series. For today, we want to focus on the fancier HONOR 400 Pro.
As with its predecessor, photography is still the highlight of the HONOR 400 Pro. Apart from sharpness, the 200-megapixel main camera is packed with features. It uses a 1/1.4-inch sensor with f/1.9 aperture and optical image stabilization.
OIS is also included in the 50-megapixel 1/2-inch Sony IMX856 telephoto lens, while the 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera moonlights as a macro shooter. Another 50-megapixel sensor is on the front for selfies, next to a 2-megapixel depth sensor for portraits and 3D face unlock.
The Pro also enjoys a quad-curved 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a 2800 x 1280 pixel resolution, 5,000-nit peak brightness under HDR, 3840Hz PWM dimming, and of course, a high 120Hz refresh rate.
It comes with a proper sub-flagship CPU with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, albeit not an upgrade over the HONOR 300 Pro. You’ll get it with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
A silicone-carbon 6,000mAh battery provides high-density without sacrificing sleekness. Charging is done via the 100W wired adapter and 50W for wireless. HONOR claims the battery can last for up to 1,200 charge cycles or 4-years of healthy battery at 80% capacity.
It will ship with Android 15-based MagicOS 9.0 with an Android 16 update expected to arrive before the year ends. The device is guaranteed to receive 6 years of Android upgrades.
Of course, it is filled with AI features like AI Writing Tools, AI Summary, HONOR’s Deepfake Detection feature, and more in the camera and photo gallery app. The body is IP68/69 dust and water resistant for durability.
The HONOR 400 Pro 12GB/512GB is available in Europe for USD699.99 (~Php38,700). Pricing for the 12GB/256GB base model, as well as the availability information in other markets like the Philippines, shall be revealed soon.
