It boasts a sleek build, a comically familiar design, a large battery, a sub-flagship processor, and sharp cameras. In this HONOR 600 review, we’ll test every component and determine whether they come together to create a smartphone worth your time and money.

Design and Build Quality
It’s pretty clear that the HONOR 600 series takes heavy inspiration from the iPhone 17 Pro series, especially in the Orange colorway. Take that however you want, but personally, we’re fans of how flashy they look.

While the two devices appear nearly identical at first glance, a closer look reveals their differences. The HONOR 600 Pro places the LED flash and color sensor on the far right of the camera island.
On the HONOR 600, the LED flash and color sensor occupy the space where the Pro’s tertiary camera would normally sit, since this model only features two rear cameras.

Both phones are almost identical in size. We’re particularly impressed by how sleek they feel. Their compact 6.57-inch displays make them easy and comfortable to hold.
They’re also remarkably thin at just 7.8mm and weigh only 190g despite packing a large 7,000mAh battery. Combined with the flat metallic frame and manageable dimensions, the HONOR 600 feels very comfortable in the hand.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an HONOR phone without its over-the-top durability features. The HONOR 600 is IP68/IP69/IP69K dust and water-resistant and carries a 5-star SGS certification for drop resistance.
The HONOR 600 is as durable as it is attractive, striking an excellent balance between the two.

Around the device, you’ll find the 6.57-inch AMOLED display on the front, complete with a punch-hole cutout for the 50-megapixel selfie camera. The bezels are also impressively thin at just 0.98mm.

Up top are the speaker grille, noise-isolating microphone, and IR blaster.

The left side is clean, while the right side houses the volume controls, power button, and dedicated AI Button. The buttons are tactile and provide a satisfyingly clicky response.

At the bottom are the dual nano-SIM tray, USB-C port, primary microphone, and main loudspeaker.

The frosted plastic rear panel resists fingerprints and smudges well. Meanwhile, the camera island features a shinier, glass-like finish that also stays relatively clean.
The main camera sits on top, the ultra-wide camera below it, and the LED flash and color sensor beside them.
Display and Audio
The HONOR 600 features a 6.57-inch 1.2K AMOLED display with a 2728 × 1264 resolution, ~458ppi pixel density, 120Hz refresh rate, 3840Hz PWM dimming, HDR Vivid support, and up to 8,000 nits of peak brightness.
There’s a Smart Resolution toggle, although users can’t manually select a specific resolution. The device also includes Super Dynamic Display and Vivid Display modes, which use AI to enhance brightness, color, and sharpness.
The screen size may feel small for some users, but the display quality is excellent. Colors are vibrant, contrast is deep, and brightness is more than sufficient for outdoor visibility and HDR content.

Like many smartphone stereo speaker setups, the top speaker doubles as an amplified earpiece rather than a dedicated driver. Even so, the HONOR 600 delivers surprisingly loud and punchy audio.
Bass is present, and the overall soundstage feels wide and immersive. However, the treble can sound muddy at times, particularly with vocals and dialogue when set to a high volume.
Hardware and Performance
The HONOR 600 is powered by a 4nm 2.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 octa-core processor paired with an Adreno 722 GPU, 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and 256GB or 512GB of storage.
HONOR 600 benchmark scores:
While it doesn’t offer the most powerful chipset in its price segment, everyday performance remains excellent. Social media browsing, photography, video calls, and photo editing all felt smooth and responsive.

As for gaming, Genshin Impact ran smoothly at the Medium preset with 60fps. PUBG Mobile performed well at HD graphics with Extreme frame rates, while Call of Duty: Mobile ran smoothly at Very High graphics with Max frame rates.

Farlight84 also performed well at HD graphics with High frame rates. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang ran smoothly at the highest available settings, while Asphalt Legends Unite maintained 90fps.
The HONOR 600 is certainly capable of gaming, although we’d expect support for higher graphics settings given its price point.
| Game | Graphics Settings |
| Genshin Impact | • Render Resolution: Medium • Visual Effects: High • SFX Quality: Medium • Frame Rate: 60 |
| PUBG Mobile | • Graphics Quality: HD • Frame Rate: Extreme |
| Call of Duty: Mobile | • Graphics Quality: Very High • Frame Rate: Max |
| Farlight84 | • Graphics Quality: HD • Frame Rate: High |
| Mobile Legends: Bang Bang | • Resolution: HD • Map Quality: Ultra • Frame Rate: Super |
| Asphalt Legends Unite | • Visual Quality: High Quality • Frame Rate: 90 |
Software and User Interface
The HONOR 600 ships with Android 16-based MagicOS 10. HONOR has pledged six years of major Android updates and security patches, which is highly commendable.

Like the hardware design, several UI elements take inspiration from the iPhone. These include adjustable transparency effects, the Dynamic Island-like Magic Capsule, and the Camera Button-inspired AI Button.

However, the AI Button is more versatile than Apple’s Camera Button thanks to its customization options. Beyond functioning as a shutter button, users can assign actions to a single press, double press, and long press.

You also get a variety of AI-powered features, including Magic Sidebar, Magic Text, AI Writing Tools, and AI Deepfake and Voice Cloning Detection to help combat scams.
The Gallery app includes AI-powered tools such as AI Eraser, AI Upscale, AI Cutout, and AI Outpainting.

There’s also the updated AI Image to Video 2.0 feature, which can generate videos using up to three reference photos. Users can choose from various presets, describe their desired output, adjust video duration, and select portrait or landscape orientation.
According to HONOR, units activated before July 31, 2026, receive 10 free AI Image to Video uses per day for the first 76 days. Beginning on Day 77 or July 31, usage is limited to 10 free generations every 30 days, with additional uses available for purchase through credits.

For security, the HONOR 600 features an optical in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock. Both worked quickly and reliably throughout our testing.
Cameras
The absence of a dedicated telephoto camera is disappointing at this price point. However, the HONOR 600 compensates with a sharp 200-megapixel 1/1.4-inch main sensor featuring a 24mm-equivalent lens, PDAF, and optical image stabilization.

It is accompanied by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel selfie camera. Unfortunately, neither includes autofocus.
The main and selfie cameras can record up to 4K@30fps video, while the ultra-wide camera is also limited to 4K@30fps. Dolby Vision and HDR video recording are not supported.
Starting with daylight photography, the main camera delivers impressively sharp and detailed images with minimal oversharpening. Dynamic range is excellent as well.
Colors are vibrant and pleasing. Greens can appear slightly oversaturated, but not enough to be problematic.
The main camera continues to impress at night. Images maintain strong dynamic range, impressive sharpness, and pleasing color reproduction.
Thanks to the high-resolution main sensor, the phone can produce 2x shots at a 54mm equivalent, 4x shots at 108mm equivalent, and up to 30x digital zoom.
Image quality remains respectable up to 4x zoom, with good sharpness and acceptable colors. Beyond that, results are only useful when you absolutely need the extra reach.
Despite its lower-resolution sensor, the ultra-wide camera also performs well. Images remain reasonably good with pleasing colors. We personally prefer the dramatic look created by its deeper contrast, although some users may prefer a flatter and more natural presentation.
Selfies are highly detailed in good lighting, with realistic skin tones and solid dynamic range. Low-light performance takes a noticeable hit, however. The slower shutter speed means you’ll need steady hands to avoid blurry shots.
Overall, we’re impressed with the HONOR 600’s camera experience. While a dedicated telephoto camera would have been welcome, the excellent main sensor helps compensate for its absence.
Battery and Charging
Despite its compact size, the HONOR 600 packs a generous 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery paired with 80W wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging.
Battery life was solid, lasting around 17 hours in our synthetic and real-world battery tests. However, it falls behind several competitors in the segment, including some with the same 7,000mAh battery capacity.
The 80W wired charger can take the battery from 0% to 50% in just 30 minutes. Our full charging test results are below:
- 15mins: 0-27%
- 30mins: 50%
- 45mins: 72%
- 1hr: 92%
- 1hr 09mins: FULL
Verdict
The HONOR 600 successfully delivers much of what buyers expect from a near-flagship smartphone without venturing into flagship pricing territory. It combines a sleek and durable design, a vibrant AMOLED display, dependable performance, capable cameras, and excellent software support into a well-rounded package.

Its standout features are undoubtedly the sharp 200-megapixel main camera, large 7,000mAh battery, premium build quality, and six years of software support. The customizable AI Button and extensive suite of AI-powered features also help differentiate it from similarly priced competitors.
That said, the HONOR 600 isn’t without compromises. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 performs well but doesn’t lead its class, battery life falls slightly behind some rivals despite the large capacity, and the lack of a dedicated telephoto camera feels like a missed opportunity at this price point.

Still, if you’re looking for a smartphone that delivers a flagship-like experience in the areas that matter most—design, display, cameras, battery capacity, and long-term software support—the HONOR 600 is easy to recommend and stands out as one of the more compelling options in its segment.
