HONOR has announced the Magic 5 Lite abroad, and if it looks familiar, that’s because it’s actually a rebranded device that’s already really popular here in the Philippines.
As you can see from the design and key specs, the HONOR Magic 5 Lite is a rebranded HONOR X9a. That said, it shares the same design with the large circular glass on the back and an almost bezel-less curved screen on the front.
The said screen uses a 6.67-inch OLED panel with an FHD+ pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color, and a high 1920Hz PWM dimming to keep your eyes safe. We also have an under-display fingerprint scanner and a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
Around the back, HONOR used a 64-megapixel main sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
Under the hood, the Magic 5 Lite is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, which brings the latest 5G connectivity to the device. It is paired with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and the Android 12-based Magic UI 6.1 interface on top.
As for the battery, we have a 5,100mAh capacity that is charged by the included 40W adapter.
The HONOR Magic 5 Lite comes with the same color options; Emerald Green, Titanium Silver, and Midnight Black. It will be available for pre-order on February 20 at a price of EUR379 (~Php22,400). If you’re interested, the X9a is available in the Philippines for Php16,990.
