Honor is the first to use the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor on a foldable smartphone with the Magic V.
The Honor Magic V comes with a 7.9-inch foldable screen, which features a 90Hz refresh rate, 10.3:9 aspect ratio, HDR10+, 10-bit color, and even has an IMAX Enhanced certification, the first foldable to have one.
Like the OPPO Find N and Galaxy Z Fold 3, it also has a cover screen for basic tasks. It’s 6.45-inches with a faster 120Hz refresh rate. It uses a special hinge so it doesn’t have gaps when folded.
Made for multitasking, the Magic V is rigged with a roomy 12GB of RAM. You also have an option between 256GB and 512GB of storage. Keeping the lights on is a 4,750mAh battery with 66W fast charging.
Honor didn’t skimp in the camera department, either. This one has three 50-megapixel cameras on the back. The main one has a 23mm equivalent lens, the other one is for ultra-wide with a 13mm equivalent, while the last sensor is for capturing color spectrum.
If that’s not enough, the device has two 42-megapixel selfie snappers for each of the screens.
The Honor Magic V has a price of CNY9,999 (around Php80,300) and CNY10,999 (around Php88,300) for the 256GB and 512GB models, respectively. It will be available in China on January 18 while the international release is yet to be decided.
