Huawei’s futuristic foldable phone, the Mate Xs 2, have officially made its way to the Philippines.
The Huawei Mate Xs 2 boasts a tablet-like 7.8-inch foldable OLED screen for some serious tasks or entertainment consumption. When folded, you’re treated with a more smartphone-like 6.5-inch display. It even has a 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, it is powered by a 4G-only Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. The unit we’re getting here has 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The device then ships with Huawei’s own HarmonyOS 2.
To keep its thin profile, the device only has a 4,600mAh battery instead of the usual 5,000mAh that others have. On the upside, it does come with a 66W power adapter.
Being a Huawei phone, it also has a packed camera setup. The main one has a 50-megapixel sensor, joined by a 13-megapixel ultra-wide, and 8-megapixel telephoto with OIS. With its flip screen, you can use any of those cameras for selfies or group shots — in case the 10-megapixel front shooter isn’t enough.
Huawei also rigged the device with stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, and an IR blaster for controlling non-smart appliances.
