HUAWEI has a new entry-level smartphone. While the official price for the Nova Y61 is yet to be announced, judging by the specs, it definitely sits in the below Php10,000 category.

The HUAWEI Nova Y61 only comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ screen with a standard 60Hz refresh rate — the same set of specs you’d expect from an affordable smartphone.

It is then paired with an unnamed octa-core processor that you can pair with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and a single 64GB storage option.

On top of the screen is a waterdrop notch that holds the 5-megapixel selfie camera. While on the back, we have a triple camera setup that consists of a 50-megapixel main shooter, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery, which is thankfully charged via a 22.5W adapter through USB Type-C.

Like a lot of HUAWEI’s global smartphones, this one ship with EMUI 12 without Google Mobile Services.

As stated earlier, the official price and availability of the HUAWEI Nova Y61 are yet to be announced. If you’re interested in this device, stay tuned for those details.
