Huawei has officially unveiled a new budget smartphone in the Philippines — the Huawei Y7p.

The Huawei Y7p features a hole-punch in its 6.39-inch TFT LCD display with HD+ resolution. On the inside, the phone is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 710 chipset assisted by ARM Mali-G51 MP4 and 4GB of RAM. It has 64GB of built-in storage plus an option to use a microSD card for additional storage.

Camera is one of the most important factors when choosing a smartphone in 2020, so the company equipped the Huawei Y7p with a triple rear camera configuration on the back. It’s comprised of a 48-megapixel primary shooter, 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and 2-megapixel f/2.4 sensor. For selfies, it uses an 8-megapixel camera placed inside the hole-punch.

Despite being a new release, the Huawei Y7p won’t ship with Android 10 and EMUI 10 out of the box. It might get the software update later on, but we’re not betting on it considering that it’s an entry-level smartphone.

It features a huge 4,000mAh battery capacity and other typical connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. Unfortunately, it still has microUSB.
