Here’s yet another addition to the Infinix Hot 20 family. This time, it’s the Hot 20 Play, and it also has a large display, battery, and a budget-friendly processor.
Big on numbers, the Infinix Hot 20 Play boasts a large 6.82-inch display with a fast 90Hz high refresh rate. But due to its price, it only has an HD+ resolution instead of the more apt FHD+.
It also boasts a 6,000mAh battery, which the company claims can last for up to four days. However, charging times could take a long time, too, as it only ships with the standard 18W adapter.
Infinix is also highlighting its battery-saving modes. There’s the Short Video Mode that adds 10% to the battery life and Power Boost Mode for an extra 25%.
So, what makes it a budget-friendly device despite all that? The processor. This one comes with a 2.3GHz MediaTek Helio G37 octa-core chip, which is made from a 12nm process.
The chip is cooled by what Infinix calls as an “aerospace-grade cooling material” that uses hexagonal boron nitride a.k.a white graphene.
On the back, we have a decent 13-megapixel main camera joined by an AI lens. An 8-megapixel sensor is on the front for selfies.
Infinix then rigged it with the latest Android 12-based XOS 10.6 user interface.
The official price and availability of the Infinix Hot 20 Play, both globally and in the Philippines, are yet to be announced.
