vivo brought another one of its budget-friendly Y-series devices to the Philippines, the vivo Y22s.
The vivo Y22s is powered by the capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, which is a 4G-only chipset. It comes with 128GB of storage and an option between 4GB and 8GB of RAM. vivo’s Extended RAM 3.0 technology is also here, which adds up to 8GB of memory by borrowing from the storage for extra multitasking prowess.
It ships with a 5,000mAh battery, which is paired with an 18W charger that can apparently provide 258 minutes of video watching or 5 rounds of games with just a 15-minute charge. vivo then claims that the battery itself can last for up to 9.4 hours of playing games.
On the front, there’s a standard 6.55-inch screen with only an HD+ pixel resolution but with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate.
It then has a sharp 50-megapixel camera on the back, joined by a 2-megapixel macro lens. There’s an 8-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies.
Software is handled by the Android 12-based Funtouch 12. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner is also included for security.
The vivo Y22s is available in 4GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB variants for a price of Php10,999 and Php12,999, respectively. The base model will be exclusively available on Lazada from October 25 to November 5. On the 25th, you can get it for only Php10,599, with a free SIM card and TWS earbuds. Both models will be available in all stores come November 5 and can also be had on Home Credit via a 6 or 12-month installment plan.
