The Infinix NOTE 50 Pro’s box is a dead giveaway of what the phone is all about. Just by looking at it, you can already tell that this is a gaming device. Similar to the previous generations, Infinix partnered with Call of Duty Mobile, a definite Filipino favorite.

Next, let’s take a look at what’s inside the box. Once you open it, you will see the phone and accessories.

First impressions

Just as expected, the Infinix NOTE 50 Pro is sleek, thin, and lightweight. It is easy to hold and overall has an amazing build. What’s even nice is that despite all these features, Infinix claims that the phone is durable because it uses ArmorAlloy™ Metal Frame. This material is tougher than plastic yet at the same time, lighter than stainless steel. Our unit on hand is in Titanium Grey but you can also get it in other colors such as purple and black. The NOTE 50 Pro is the only phone in the sub-Php12K category that comes with an Armor Alloy aluminum frame.

Now let’s take a look at the other features of the device.

Under the hood, The NOTE 50 Pro sports a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate Processor, with a massive 12GB of RAM + 12GB expandable memory, and paired with 256GB internal storage. Infinix said that the NOTE 50 Pro is made for hardcore gamers. We tested it out by playing Call of Duty Mobile on the phone and it did not disappoint. The 12GB RAM is indeed a game-changer as our gaming experience was smooth with no visible delays or lags.

Another reason to consider the NOTE 50 Pro is its large 6.78-inch 1080P AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. With its high refresh rate, the screen runs smoothly and works well in basic daily tasks and even in gaming.

Moreover, since this is a gaming phone, it’s good to have a 90W fast charging with a 30W wireless charging, a rare feature in this price range. Infinix also highlighted the NOTE 50 Pro’s 5,200mAh battery, which the brand said can last up to six years.

In terms of camera, it has a 50-megapixel OIS, an 8-megapixel, and a Flicker sensor. The photos were decent but nothing extraordinary, which is expected from a budget gaming phone.

On the side, it has the One-Tap AI Infinix (Folax). A long press on the power button activates the phone’s AI features where you can ask questions or capture on-screen information.

The Infinix NOTE 50 Pro will be available in the Philippines on April 24. You can get it exclusively via Shopee. You will also get a free 1-year Viu subscription when you buy the NOTE 50 Series through the official e-commerce stores. With Viu, you get unlimited access to a massive and diverse library of Asian dramas, movies, and variety shows —completely ad-free and in HD. It’s a solid extra if you’re into binge-watching or want more entertainment value bundled with your NOTE 50 Pro.
