Infinix continues to release new phones for the holiday season. This time, it’s an entry-level device, the Infinix Smart 8 HD.
The Infinix Smart 8 HD is powered by the humble UNISOC T606 octa-core processor, with a decent 3GB of RAM, a 64GB of storage that’s thankfully expandable, and to make sure it runs smoothly as much as possible, an Android 13 Go Edition with XOS 13 skin on top.

On the front, we have a decent 6.6-inch IPS screen with only an HD+ display but managed to get a high 90Hz refresh rate.
There’s a punch-hole on top with a Magic Ring feature, which shows special animations when charging, unlocking the device, and more — much like what Apple’s Dynamic Island does.

The said display cutout holds the 8-megapixel selfie snapper. On the back, we have an iPhone Pro-like camera layout that holds the 13-megapixel main shooter, an “AI camera”, and a ring LED flash.
Like most phones in any category, it has a decent 5,000mAh battery, but only with a 10W charger. For security, it is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock using the selfie camera.
The Infinix Smart 8 HD 3GB/64GB will be available in India through the online store Flipkart with an SRP of INR6,299 (~Php4,200) and an a special introductory price of INR5,699 (~Php3,800). No word yet if it will ever arrive in the Philippines.
