Infinix has brought the Smart 8 Pro to the Philippines — a new entry-level smartphone with yet another impressive set of specs for the price.
The Infinix Smart 8 Pro was first introduced in India in late January. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G36 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. However, the unit we’re getting in the Philippines has a more generous 8GB/128GB configuration.
It also has a smooth 90Hz refresh rate on the decent 6.6-inch HD+ IPS display. An 8-megapixel selfie camera is on the punch-hole on top, with Infinix’s Magic Ring feature that shows cool animations around the punch-hole when showing charging status, using face unlock, or while on voice calls.
A sharp 50-megapixel main camera is seen on the back, paired with an AI lens.
The device also gets to have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on top of the face unlock feature for security. Meanwhile, a standard 5,000mAh battery keeps the light on, paired with a 10W charger.
Finally, the power-efficient Android 13 Go Edition handles the software, with Infinix’s XOS 13 interface on top.
The Infinix Smart 8 Pro is now available in offline and online stores for a price of Php4,999. If it looks familiar, that’s because it’s essentially the Spark 20C only with a different RAM/storage configuration and price tag.
