Itel has unveiled the new S23 Plus, which is its most premium smartphone — at least in terms of the design, as the processor used was not mentioned and the charging speed is relatively slow.
The display is one of the highlights here as the brand took all the time to list its features. The Itel S23 Plus has a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED panel, with an FHD+ pixel resolution, 500-nits peak brightness, 99% DCI-P3 color, Corning Gorilla Glass protection, and a fast 240Hz in-display fingerprint scanner.
While the chipset used was not mentioned, they did say that it will have 8GB of RAM, which can go up to 16GB with the virtual RAM expansion. It is joined by 256GB of internal storage. A cheaper 4GB/128GB option will also be available.
On the back, we have a sharp 50-megapixel main camera with a bright f/1.6 aperture and 10x of digital zoom. On the front, we have a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
Itel has also detailed its GPT AI assistant called Aivana, a Dynamic Bar for notifications similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island, and itelOS 13 user interface.
Of course, it has a sleek and slim design as it only weighs 178g and an over-the-top Rainbow-like color option called Lake Cyan. It then has a 5,000mAh battery with relatively slow 18W charging.
The official price and availability for the Itel S23 Plus are yet to be announced. We’ll have to wait for that, together with the complete specs list.
