LG X300

LG has launched a new budget smartphone in its home country South Korea – the LG X300.

Even though the LG X300 is a budget smartphone, it comes with a beautiful design, with on-screen virtual buttons as well as a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. As it is customary, the LG logo is placed just under the display up front, but the body of the phone seems to have been forged out of plastic material. The phone’s speaker can be found at the bottom left of the device at the back. LG also included some matte-like patterns at the back casing, perhaps to increase the grip and reduce the chances of the phone slipping off the hands.

On the specs aspect, the LG X300 sports a 5.0-inch In-Cell Touch IPS display with an HD resolution. The display is protected from scratch by a curved glass layer and the rear is also sporting a little curvature. As stated earlier, there is a Snapdragon 425 processor clocked at 1.4GHz, with the Adreno 308 GPU powering the graphics. There is also a modest 2GB of RAM inside the smartphone as well as 16GB of expandable internal storage.

On the camera end, the X300 packs a 13MP rear-facing shooter with an LED flash sitting just underneath the camera. Up front, you get a 5MP camera that won’t probably really do justice to our quest to snap clear selfies. The X300 cram a 2,500mAh battery under its hood and it also features 4G LTE connectivity. Unfortunately, only South Korean LTE bands are supported presently, but it is hoped to have a global band later on. Coming to the software, the mid-range LG X300 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box embellished with LG’s custom UI .
