Motorola just announced the new Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 as one of the first smartphones to feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor.
The new Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip found on the Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 is made out of a 4nm process, with 2.2GHz clock speeds. As per Qualcomm, it offers 35% better graphics performance and 40% faster CPU prowess. However, the specific Adreno GPU model used was not mentioned.
Going back to the device, it still comes with a stylus that slots next to the USB port. But being a budget offering, the pen only has a basic set of features and lacks pressure sensitivity or wireless connectivity unlike fancier styluses offer.
On the front, we have a decent 6.6-inch FHD+ IPS display with a fast 120Hz refresh rate. A punch-hole on top was cut for the 16-megapixel selfie camera.
There are only two cameras on the back, but at least all of them are actually useful. There’s a 50-megapixel main shooter, joined by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens that also works for macro shots. No depth sensor.
It also ships with a 5,000mAh battery with 20W charging. Being Motorola, it comes with its own MyUX interface on top of Android 13. The company pledged to provide one major Android upgrade and up to three years of security patches.
The new Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 has a starting price of USD399 (~Php22,500) for the 6GB/256GB model. They will be available in the United States starting June 2, while pricing and release details in other markets are yet to be known.
