Motorola has introduced two new identical budget phones, the Moto G55 and Moto G35.
Both the Moto G55 and G35 come with an FHD+ IPS display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. A 16-megapixel selfie camera is on top for selfies, sitting in a punch-hole cutout.
Keeping the lights on is a large 5,000mAh battery, while the software is handled by Android 14 with Motorola’s Hello UI on top.
Now, onto the differences. The Moto G55 features a more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7025 octa-core processor, which you can get with three RAM configurations that top off at 12GB and up to 256GB of storage.
Meanwhile, the Moto G35 features a UNISOC T760 chip with only 4GB of RAM but an option between 128GB and 256GB of storage. It also has a slower 18W charging (vs 30W), uses Corning Gorilla Glass 3 instead of Gorilla Glass 5, but does have a bigger 6.72-inch display (vs 6.49-inch).
Both models share the same 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 50-megapixel main shooters, albeit the G55 enjoys an optically stabilized primary camera.
The Moto G55 has a starting price of EUR249 (~Php15,500) in Europe, while the Moto G35 is behind at EUR199 (~Php12,400). Release details in other markets are yet to be known.
