If you haven’t heard, the Google Play Store finally downloads and installs multiple apps simultaneously. Similar to what Apple has been doing on iOS devices for years.

Google first launched a feature that lets users download and install multiple new apps simultaneously back in April. They introduced the same feature on app updates, but pulled it out a few days later on some devices. Now the feature is fully available on a lot of devices.

This feature has been long overdue. Now that new apps and app updates are downloaded at the same time, waiting for particular apps to download or update will be much faster.

The update reduces interruptions, especially if you can’t access that one important, small app because it’s still in queue while a much bigger app is still being downloaded.

From what it looks like, this new feature is more of a server update on Google’s side and not on your phone’s. It also appears that Google is rolling out the feature in phases, so if your device doesn’t have it yet, you have no choice but to wait.
