MyPhone-Agua-Vortex-Exclusive-NoypiGeeks

MyPhone has been aggressive in marketing their upcoming android phone through teasers on their official Facebook fanpage. We just received official details about the price and specs as well as some in the flesh photos from our insider. Interested? Check it out!

MyPhone’s new teaser for their coming phone in the Agua line has confirmed that it’ll go by the name Vortex. The teaser ad also touts a new feature (for budget phones) typically reserved for high-end units: pop-up video, a la Pop Up Play of Samsung or LG’s QSlide. MyPhone calls theirs Multi-Video Display.

Another teaser trailer showed the upcoming phone’s cameras: a 13MP BSI camera in the rear and a 5MP camera upfront. Now, we all know that MyPhone isn’t everything but the sensor being Sony-made could give us hope that image performance would be top-notch.

As we pointed out in a recent article, all fingers point to it being the same as the Micromax Canvas 4 and it has been confirmed by our MyPhone insider.

We’re seeing a MyPhone Agua Iceberg successor with a much smaller screen size and same resolution. That does make my head scratch because the new Multi-Video Display would have benefited a lot from the larger screen size. Other specs would be similar with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 4.2 Jellybean, and other connectivity bells and whistles usually seen at high-end devices. The smaller screen does mean that it gets a smaller battery, at 2000mAh.

MyPhone Agua Vortex Specs

  • 5″ HD IPS screen with Gorilla Glass 2 (720 x 1280, 294ppi)
  • 1.2GHz quad core MediaTek MT6589 processor
  • PowerVR SGX 544 GPU
  • Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean
  • 1GB RAM
  • 16GB internal storage
  • 13mp autofocus BSI rear-facing camera with Sony sensor and LED flash
  • 5mp front-facing camera
  • 3.5G/HSPA+
  • WiFi b/g/n
  • GPS with A-GPS
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • 2,000mAh battery

MyPhone Agua Vortex will have a SRP of PHP 12,388 with a free 8GB microSD card on its launch day this month according to our source inside MyPhone.

  1. i could buy a much better phone for 12k..considering myphone as a brand for the budget consious, the pricing for this unit is not so practical in my opinion..

  2. forget about this phone. one week ko pa lang gamit foggy na ang screen. dinala ko sa service center and was told to leave the unit. fix time 2wks. dissatisfied talaga ako sa vortex!

  3. Oh gawd guys dont buy this phone it too expensive and yet the specs are old, if you’re gonna buy this phone for a cost of nearly 13,000? go buy a smartphone way better than this atleast may LTE na and okay pa specs! such a waste of money, they just put ALUMINUM in that phone kaya nagmahal :))

  4. Everything looks fine but an average MyPhone product lasts 3 months and getting any service from MyPhone Company is impossible. I had a bad experience with two MyPhone products so far and I’d like to warn everyone to look up other products before buying MyPhone. If you’re willing to pay nearly 13.000 for this you may be able to find a way better smartphone for the same price or less.
