Nokia-C1-Philippines

HMD Global has finally unveiled the new Nokia C1 in the Philippines.

First announced back in December, the Nokia C1 is the latest member of HMD Global’s Android Go lineup. The company has more expensive entry-level and midrange handsets in its portfolio in the Philippines, but this is the first time that they are dipping their toes in the budget segment.

For only Php2,999, consumers will be getting an Android phone without bloatwares. However, since it’s a cheap device, there are corners to be cut. The Nokia C1 uses a quad-core MediaTek chipset, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of onboard storage. Nothing too flashy, but it should do a decent job considering it’s running on vanilla Android.

Its 5.45-inch IPS screen is quite small for today’s standards but so is the qHD resolution. As for cameras, there’s a single 8-megapixel primary shooter on the back and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
