Nothing just announced its latest Android 17-based Nothing OS 5.0 software. Today, we’ll check out its latest features and see if your device will get it and when.
The new Nothing OS 5.0 has tons of new features, so we’ll just give you the highlights. The main one, of course, is the refreshed design, with new typography, icons, spacing, materials, and motion — which you can all spot in the Settings, Camera, Gallery, system controls, and more.

You also get a cleaner status bar. Which may look like a tiny upgrade, but makes a huge difference.

You can also expect updated icons, controls, and polished motions on the Nothing camera pp. QR code scanning is also faster. Plus, the Nothing Gallery can now be sorted by Recently added or Captured date.

Nothing also joins the bandwagon by introducing transparent details across the UI.
Plus, you’re now getting advanced lock screen personalisation with two new clock faces and more color options.

Nothing’s Glyph features is now consolidated to a dedicated app, allowing you to have a one-stop-shop for all the Glyph features, instead of having them spread in the settings.

These are the key changes you can expect from the new Nothing OS 5.0. But will your smartphone get it?
