Nubia has introduced the Z40 Pro, its latest flagship phone for 2022.
The Nubia Z40 Pro is one of the first smartphones to use the latest 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 sensor. It sits on an optical image stabilization module, behind an f/1.6 aperture and 7P lens. There’s a camera island on the back that flamboyantly highlights this feat.
We also have an ultra-sharp 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and an 8-megapixel periscope-style telephoto lens that can do 5x of optical zoom.
On the front, there’s a 16-megapixel main camera on top of a feature-packed display. It’s a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate and 1,000-nits of peak brightness.
Like most Android flagships today, the Z40 Pro boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. You can pair it with up to 16GB of RAM and up to a generous 1TB of storage.
It then has a 5,000mAh battery paired with an 80W wired charging. Meanwhile, there’s also a special Nubia Z40 Pro Gravity Edition that has a smaller 4,600mAh capacity and slower 66W charging but does come with Magnetic Charging, similar to the Magsafe of the newer iPhones — beating Realme to the punch in the Android space.
The ZTE Nubia Z40 Pro will be initially available in China with the prices listed below. Like the other products from the company, no word yet if it will be officially available in other markets.
