O+ 8.15 reached our headquarters two days ago and we’re really excited to open it up. The package is the same as the O+ 8.12 which is housed in an elegant looking box unlike other more affordable O+ android phones.
As usual, the O+ 8.15 comes with all the things that you’ll need. It contains the unit, USB cable, charger head, manuals, warranty card, earphones, and the FREE 8GB Sandisk microSD card. Yes, if you’ll get this flagship smartphone from O+ USA, it includes an 8GB microSD instead of the 4GB which is typically bundled on their lower-end models. After all, powerful specs mean that you’ll throw away ridiculously number of apps and games on it so it’s better to be ready.
Check out the unboxing photos below.

As far as first impressions go, I can definitely say that the O+ 8.15 is blazingly fast and it’s also proven by its high benchmarks scores from AnTuTu and Quadrant Standard. On NenaMark v2, it got a 46.0 score which is the highest among all the smartphones we tested here on this site.
UPDATE: Here’s our full review of the O+ 8.15.

Another thing that I liked most about it is the 5-inch HD IPS Dragon Trail Glass display which delivers beautiful and vibrant colors. The images and text are vibrant and the overall build is premium unlike other cheaper android phones. Seriously.
Though I find it very attractive, I would have preferred if it’s all black or all white as I think it would look much, much better, However, it seems like it’s a design language from O Plus as the O Plus 8.12 android phone also has the same color scheme. Check out the full technical specifications of the O Plus 8.15 smartphone below.

Got something to ask? Post your questions below and we’ll gladly tackle them on our full review. If you want to buy it now, you can get this at O+ kiosks and resellers nationwide for Php12,995. UPDATE: Check out our review of the O+ 8.15 here.

does this have a better camera than the OHD?
OHD has 12MP BSI. This has 8MP AF. When it comes to specs, OHD has the advantage. But you can also check the sample shots of the two models and the quality isn’t really that different in normal lighting. Just my two cents.
Is this really dragon trail? I have been reading a lot of reviews, this is the first to mention dragon trail. BTW, I already have this device. No match with my phone or cherry mobile. Almost as competitive as lg aesthetically, except for the cam.
Hi, yes, we’ve talked to an O+ representative and they’ve confirmed that it has Dragon Trail. :-)
Thanks for following this one up. I messaged the FB page of O+USA to confirm and this is their reply: “We cannot confirm nor deny the technology that we used for the handset. We would not be able to disclose any information regarding that. Thank you for understanding.”
But yeah, I’ll just trust you guys since you talked to a rep.
If it is indeed DragonTrail what is it that is holding them from Advertising it? As it is a major selling point
Its not Dragon Trail glass as confirmed by the sales rep in O Plus Concept Store in SM North EDSA when I visited it. Only 8.12 has Dragon Trail glass sabi nung sales rep.
And the internal memory of the 8.15 is only less than 1 gig. Mayroon siyang tinatawag na phone memory separate from the internal memory na more than 5gig aside from the microsd slot. Haven’t asked if we can directly install apps on that so call phone memory.
We have direct communication to O+ representatives (not sales). Please refer to our full review which will be posted soon.
sir adam .. wla nabng full review kai 8.15 ?
8gb internal memory, dragon tail glass, nice! hope this phone supports memory swap too. but i have a feeling this won’t come as cheap as those of CM & MP.
rebranded b din toh?
No. TechPinas interviewed an O+ representative and they answered that. You might want to check it out.
nakakapag save po buh xa ang apps sa SD card ? and can it handle HD games ? like nova 3 ,modern combat zero hour ,wild blood etc.
Yes, it can save apps and games directly to the microSD card instead of the ‘phone storage’. The ‘data’ of HD games can also be placed on the sd card.
Give away!
Haaaay .. Sana may magpaulan netoo .. XDD Swerte mo naman kuya nakakahawak ka ng ibat ibang gadgets .. Kuya ! Paraffle ka neto ! Nako ! Sasale ulit ako ! XDD (FC)
