Smartphone brands are beefing up their line-up as the holiday season is just right around the corner. OPPO released a new entry-level one with no fanfare, the OPPO A38.
Priced under Php8,000, the OPPO A38 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core processor, paired with a decent 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.
There’s a decent 6.56-inch HD+ display on the front with a 90Hz refresh rate. The fingerprint scanner is on the side, joining the face unlock feature to keep your device secured.

A 5-megapixel selfie camera is on top of the screen, while on the back, we have a sharp 50-megapixel main camera with a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

It ships with a 5,000mAh battery with a surprisingly fast charging adapter at 33W. Software is handled by the current Android 13-based ColorOS 13.1.
The new OPPO A38 has a price of Php7,999 in the Philippines. It’s now available in physical stores and on Lazada and will land on Shopee in early October.
