With no fanfare, the new OPPO A76 has been made official after it came out in Malaysia.

The OPPO A76 carries the same processor that other non-5G competing devices also have. This one comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor that’s rigged with a Cat. 13 LTE modem. The chipset is bundled with 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM with an additional 5GB via its virtual memory expansion feature.

On the upside, it does come with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, albeit only has a resolution of HD+. The 5,000mAh battery is quite generous, too, and even comes with a 33W fast charger.

Sadly, the device will still ship with Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1, no word yet if it will receive the newer Android 12 update. Cameras are nothing too interesting either with its 13-megapixel main shooter joined by a 2-megapixel mono lens.

The OPPO A76 starts at MYR899 (around Php11,000) and is now up for sale on OPPO’s official Malaysian website. Release details in countries like the Philippines are yet to be announced.
