OPPO has showcased the new ColorOS 15, which will arrive on select devices on top of the upcoming Android 15 upgrade.
The majority of the ColorOS 15 updates are on the visual level. Still, OPPO claims that app installation speeds are 26% while some apps will load 50% faster. Games will also become more stable even after an hour or more of gaming.
It also has a new Aurora and Tital Engine that handles system-level rendering so app animations are quick and snappy.
A lot of the UI changes look very similar to iOS. For one, you can now customize the lock screen further. Plus, OPPO has finally separated the control center from the notifications tab.
Now, let’s head to AI. OPPO’s XiaoBu Assistant (available in China) can now be summoned anywhere from the interface. Plus, AI now lets you have a more natural conversation with the assistant and has content awareness to answer questions faster. Circle to Search is also here, of course.
AI can also format notes, can summarize and translate documents scanned from the camera, and transcribe voice recordings.
For photos, AI lets you simply tap a person or reflection to remove it quickly, use image upscaling for sharper photos, and remove blur from portraits.
The new ColorOS 15 with Android 15 will ship with the OPPO Find X8 series and OnePlus 13. It will then arrive in more devices listed below.
