OPPO has unveiled its latest flagship device, the OPPO Find X7 Ultra, which has a lot of pioneering features in the smartphone industry.
The OPPO Find X7 Ultra is the first smartphone in the world to have two periscope-style telephoto lenses. One of them uses a 1/1.56-inch IMX890 sensor with a 65mm equivalent using a 3x periscope glass, while the other has a 1/2.51-inch IMX858 with a longer 6x telephoto that has a 135mm equivalent.
It is also the first smartphone to ever use the second generation Sony LYT-900 sensor that has a large 1-inch size. Meanwhile, the ultra-wide has a Sony LYT-600 that’s 1/1.95 inches and can also be used for macros. All rear cameras have a sharp 50-megapixel resolution.
The cameras were tuned by Hasselblad and will also feature the camera brand’s HyperTone engine for more natural-looking photos.
Meanwhile, the camera app is equipped with Hasselblad’s Master Mode which lets you shoot in RAW with a 16-bit RAW Max coming in March via a software update.
For selfies, there’s a sharp 32-megapixel sensor on the front with PDAF. It’s on top of the packed 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a sharp 1440 resolution, the latest Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+.
Of course, it is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of fast UFS 4.0 storage.
Unlike other flagships, OPPO didn’t compromise and still equipped it with a large 5,000mAh battery, paired with ultra-fast 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Software is handled by the Android 14-based ColorOS 14.
The OPPO Find X7 Ultra was launched in China with a price of CNY5,999 (~Php46,900) for the 12GB/256GB, CNY6,499 (~Php50,900) for the 16GB/256GB, and CNY6,999 (~Php54,800) for the 16GB/512GB. International release details were not mentioned.
