POCO has introduced a couple of new bang-for-the-buck smartphones, which include the POCO X6 and X6 Pro.
First, we have the POCO X6 Pro which is one of the first to use the new MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra high-end processor, and you can have up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of expandable storage.
We then have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a sharp 1.5K resolution and a high 120Hz refresh rate. There’s an in-display fingerprint scanner underneath and a 16-megapixel selfie camera on top.
On the back, we have a sharp 64-megapixel main camera with 2x lossless zoom and optical image stabilization. It is joined by the usual 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 2-megapixel macro lens.
It will ship with Xiaomi‘s spanking new HyperOS that’s based on Android 14. The best part is, that Xiaomi promised 3 major Android updates and 4 years of security patches for this and the non-Pro model.
The battery has a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging — a charging speed we only usually see on high-end devices.
You can get the POCO X6 Pro in the Philippines with an SRP of Php16,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant and Php19,999 for the 12GB/512GB. Get them for only Php15,240 and Php18,240, respectively until January 18, 2024.

Meanwhile, the vanilla POCO X6 is similar to the Pro. Only this time, it is powered by a midrange Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, has “Pro HDR” instead of HDR10+, older WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2 standards, and will ship with MIUI 14 for POCO.
However, it has a bigger 5,100mAh battery and, for some reason, a tougher Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. It also has different color options.
The POCO X6 has an SRP of Php14,999 for the 8GB/256GB, Php15,999 for the 12GB/256GB, and Php17,999 for the 12GB/512GB. They will have early bird prices of Php13,190, Php14,190, and Php16,190, respectively, until January 18.
