AMD has unveiled several processor models in the Ryzen 8000G and 5000 series.

Using the AMD Zen 4 architecture as foundational base, the AMD Ryzen 8000G series offers significant power and performance and features as many as eight cores and 16 threads along with boost frequencies that go as high as 5.1GHz. Notable models in the series include the Ryzen 7 8700G and Ryzen 5 8600G, both of which come equipped the first NPU on a desktop processor and AI software capabilities.

All models in the Ryzen 8000G series have integrated graphics in the Radeon 700M series, the most advanced of which is the built-in Radeon 780M in the Ryzen 7 8600G that’s capable of providing a high-quality 1080p gaming experience. All the 8000G processors are compatible with the AM5 platform, which supports PCIE 5.0 and DDR5.

AMD has also taken the wraps off new desktop processors in the Ryzen 5000 Series: the Ryzen 7 5700X3D, Ryzen 7 5700, Ryzen 5 5600GT and Ryzen 5 5500GT. These processors aim to enhance gaming performance through faster clock speeds and better efficiency. The best of the lot is the gaming-optimized Ryzen 7 5700X3D, which features eight cores, 16 threads, and the AMD 3D V-Cache technology.

All announced processors are slated to become available for consumers beginning January 31. Prices for the new Ryzen 5000 models start at $125, whereas the new Ryzen 8000G models start at $179.

In the graphics department, AMD has introduced the new Radeon RX 7600 XT GPU that’s designed for gamers and content creators. It features 32 AMD RDNA 3 compute units, advanced AI, raytracing accelerators, and 16GB GDDR6 memory, promising smooth gaming experience at 1080p and above. The Radeon RX 7600 XT GPU is set for January 24 availability with a single exit price of $329.
