In the market for an affordable tablet for school, light work, or entertainment? Try checking out this latest from realme India — which may also soon arrive in the Philippines — the realme Pad 2 Lite.
The new realme Pad 2 Lite is powered by the ever-reliable MediaTek Helio G99 octa-core processor — which is possibly one of the most-used budget mobile chips in the world. You can get it with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.

Despite its budget status, it boasts a large 10.95-inch FHD+ IPS display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. That should be large enough for multitasking and, paired with the quad speakers, great for watching content.
Keeping the lights on is an 8,300mAh battery — not the biggest for a 10.95-inch tablet, but understandable for the price. However, one limitation that can be a real burden is the 15W charging, which could take a long time to charge the device.

A decent 8-megapixel main camera is on the back and a 5-megapixel sensor in the front.
For the software, the Pad 2 Lite ships with the Android 14 operating system, with a special realme UI 5.0 for Pad interface. It also boasts a leather-like design available in Purple and Grey.

The realme Pad 2 Lite 4GB/128GB is available in India for INR14,999 (~Php9,900) while the 8GB/128GB comes in at INR16,999 (~Php11,300). It’s now listed in India and should also arrive in the Philippines in the future.
