A 5G version of the Redmi 15C is now in the Philippines.
The Redmi 15C 5G follows up on the Redmi 15C 4G that came out way back in September. It is basically the same exact device, but the 4G-only MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chip was upgraded to a trusty MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. It has 256GB of storage, but sadly, it only has 4GB of RAM.
Everything else was left untouched. We still have a 6.9-inch IPS display with only an HD+ resolution, but a high 120Hz refresh rate. Sadly, it only has one speaker, no stereo.
A big 6,000mAh battery still provides power, paired with 33W fast charging. 10W reverse charging is also here, which is fast enough to charge other smartphones, accessories, and more.
For the cameras, we have the 50-megapixel main shooter on the back and an 8-megapixel on the front.
It runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2, but it’s not clear how long they will provide software updates. For durability, it is IP64 dust and water-resistant and has Wet Touch Technology 2.0, so you can use the screen even if it’s damp, oily, or soapy.
The Redmi 15C 5G is now available through Shopee Philippines. It only comes in a 4GB/256GB configuration for a price of Php8,499.
