Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi 17 in 5G and 4G models. This is the latter.
The Redmi 17 is powered by a 4G-only MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra processor, with an option between 4GB and 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of expandable storage. Virtual memory expansion of up to 12GB is also here, as well as a slot for up to 2TB microSD cards.
It is paired with a large 7,500mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims can easily last for up to 2 days, or up to 12 hours of video recording, 28 hours of video playback, and 91 hours of music playback.
That big battery comes with fast 22.5W reverse wired charging support, allowing you to use it like a power bank on your earphones, smartwatch, and even other smartphones and tablets. The device itself charges via the 45W USB-C charger.
You also get a large 6.9-inch IPS display. It boasts an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, has Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, but only an HD+ resolution. The device also got to have stereo speakers with 300% volume booster.
On the back, you have a 50-megapixel main camera, joined by an auxiliary lens, and an RGB light that lets you choose between eight colors to show charging status, notifications, camera status, and more.
The Redmi 17 is available in select markets for USD179 (~Php10,900). Release details in the Philippines are yet to be known.
