Redmi’s top dog is out and it comes with impressive numbers. Here’s another flagship killer from the company, the Redmi K80 Pro.
Powering the new Redmi K80 Pro is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, one of the best mobile chips currently out there. Like the vanilla K80, it has Xiaomi‘s new 3D dual-loop vapor chamber that promises heat reduction by up to 3°C.
It’s not the only chip here. There’s also the new Xiaomi D1 chip which computes super-resolution, frame generation, and super HDR for games. The Surge P3 chip handles charging safety while the G1 is for battery management.
Speaking of charging, the K80 Pro has a 120W adapter that boasts a full-charge time of only 28 minutes, even on its large 6,000mAh battery. A 50W wireless charging support is also included.
A beefy 6.67-inch OLED screen is on the front with a pixel-dense QHD+ resolution, 12-bit color, HDR10+ support, Dolby Vision, HDR Vivid, an impressive 3,200 nits of peak brightness, DC Dimming, Xiaomi’s Dragon Crystal 2.0 glass protection, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
There’s a punch-hole for the 20-megapixel selfie camera. On the back, we got a sharp 50-megapixel OmniVision OVX8000 sensor that’s 1/1.55-inch in size, has a bright f/1.6 aperture, and optical image stabilization. It is joined by a 32-megapixel ultra-wide glass and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with a 2.5x zoom.
Another impressive feature is the Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, a technology fresh off the oven. WiFi 7 is also here and has an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
It will also have a fairly new design and comes with a special Lamborghini Squadra Corse edition inspired by the Huracán GT3 EVO2. It comes with special green and black color options and branded case and accessories. It is exclusive to the 16GB/1TB version that costs CNY4,999 (~Php40,400).
As for the regular green, black, and blue options, the Redmi K80 Pro is available in China for a price of CNY3,699 (~Php29,900) for the 12GB/256GB, CNY3,999 (~Php32,400) for the 16GB/512GB, and CNY4,299 (~Php34,800) for the 16GB/512GB, and CNY4,799 (~Php38,800) for the 16GB/1TB. Like its predecessor, it may be rebranded once it arrives in the Philippines, possibly under POCO.
